What is a brochure?
A brochure is a stitched booklet in which sheets are joined with two saddle stitches along the spine – just like a traditional notebook. The pages are permanently bound and cannot be torn out.
Popular uses
-

-
colouring books and children’s booklets

How is it different from a notepad?
A notepad has single sheets glued with a light adhesive, which can be easily torn off. A brochure is a complete, stitched publication intended for reading.
Need a simple folded leaflet (4 pages folded in half)?
Use the sheet-fed print calculator. See an example quote for A4 folded to A5.
How to order
1. Finished brochure size
Enter the dimensions in millimetres – the order does not matter. You can choose the binding edge at the end.
Limits: min. A6, max. A4 portrait
A4 landscape brochures: individual quote – contact us
2. Inside pages
Choose the paper from the drop-down list, then enter the number of inside pages (min. 4 or multiples of 4).
The maximum number of pages depends on the paper thickness – the calculator will show the limit.
Lamination for inside pages is available for coated stock 200 gsm and above.
Print options: full colour or black only.
3. Cover options
The cover is configured separately from the inside pages, even if you use the same material.
You can choose:
-
Single-sided printing – artwork only on the outside (front and back)
-
Double-sided printing – artwork also on the inner sides of the cover
Select the paper, colour option (colour/black) and optional lamination (available for coated 200 gsm+).
4. Type of staples and binding edge
Staples:
-
Flat – standard saddle stitches
-
Loop staples – allow filing in a ring binder
Binding edge: choose whether the brochure is stitched along the long or short edge.
5. Quantity and number of versions
We produce brochures from 1 copy upwards.
A unique feature at BARWA Print: you can combine multiple different designs in a single order – for example catalogues in various language versions, each in a different quantity. Ideal for companies operating in several markets or departments.
6. Pricing
The price appears on the right side.
Click the star icon to save your quote, assign a name and return to it later in the Client Panel (Quotes tab).
7. Templates to download
At the quotation stage, templates are automatically generated (separate for the cover and inside).
They include the finished size with bleed, trim marks and a safe margin for text.
